Yes, we know the summer holidays have only just begun.
But, as anyone who tried to get tickets to last year’s Polar Express knows, if you want to enjoy a magical Christmas with your kids, you’ve got to get ahead of the crowd when it comes to booking tickets.
Believe it or not, many peak-time slots are already starting to sell out at venues across the Midlands.
Here’s our guide to help you get your hands on tickets to some of the most popular festive favourites.

Polar Express train ride at Telford Steam Railway
People went wild for this last Christmas – and tickets for this year’s event are already selling outfast.
The popular train ride based on the hit film is coming back from Friday, December 1, to Saturday, December 23, 2017.
Most of the weekend tickets have already sold out, together with dates nearest to Christmas, but there is still availability early in December.
Tickets are priced £23 for standard class and £36 for premium class. Children and adults pay the same.
Babies (under two) travel free as long as they are sitting on the lap of an adult.

Winter Wonderland at Tamworth Snowdome
If it’s a taste of real snow you want for your family to get you all into the festive spirit then you can head down to Tamworth Snowdome’s Winter Wonderland.
Sessions include time playing, sledging and tubing in the snow, as well as a Santa show, and a wander around an animal village which boasts real reindeer, a sneak peek inside Santa’s lounge and a chance to write and post those all important letters to Father Christmas too.
The Winter Wonderland opens from November 17, 2017 and runs right through to New Year’s Eve on December 31, 2017.
Saver tickets start at £13.95 per person, and are available on weekdays apart from the week before Christmas. Children under two go free.
As well as Winter Wonderland sessions, peak festive ice skating and snow play sessions also get booked up quickly.

Santa Steam Special on Severn Valley Railway
On Severn Valley Railway’s Santa Steam Special, families can travel from Kidderminster to Arley and back (a 30 minute trip each way) and meet Father Christmas in his grotto.
It will run on December 2, 3, 9, 10, 16, 17, 23 and 24.
Prices start at £14.50 for adults, seniors and children (babies cost £7) plus a booking fee.
There are no on-the-door tickets available as this event does tend to get sold out well in advance.

Hogwarts in the Snow
See Hogwarts in the snow this Christmas.
Warner Bros. Studio Tour London – The Making of Harry Potter will have a festive makeover, with Christmas trees lining the Great Hall, the Gryffindor common room dressed for the season and a blanket of filmmaking snow covering the majestic Hogwarts castle model.
The event runs from November 18, 2017 to February 4, 2018.
Visitors will be able to touch samples of the different types of ‘snow’ used during production, each selected for its ability to float like falling snow, crunch under foot or glisten in the light like ice.
Saver tickets start at £37 for adults and £29 for kids aged 5 to 15. Children aged four and under go free.

Lapland UK
This is a chance to meet Father Christmas in his winter wonderland without boarding a plane.
Lapland UK is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year.
Santa sends a personalised invitation to each child then they’re given an Elf Passport on the day, allowing them to journey through the elves’ secret woodland pathways, help out in the toy factory, decorate gingerbread with Mother Christmas, go ice skating, see huskies and reindeer and write letters from the North Pole post office.
The attraction, in Whitmoor Forest, Berkshire, opens on November 18 and runs until Christmas Eve.
