Park Ridge Director of Finance Andrea Lamberg.

Like Park Ridge’s mayor and city manager before her, Andrea Lamberg has finally dropped “acting” from her formal city title.
The former accounting manager for the city of Park Ridge was recently named director of finance by City Manager Joe Gilmore. Lamberg had been serving as the city’s acting director of finance since Gilmore, the previous director, moved into the acting city manager role more than a year ago.
“She did a great job,” Gilmore said Lamberg’s role as acting director. “She was invaluable to me and to the city. She handled the day-to-day operations of the finance function while overseeing the annual budget process and advancing the department’s technology initiatives.”
A certified public accountant, Lamberg joined the city in 2012 as its accounting manager, a position she held until 2014 when she was promoted to assistant finance director, a resume provided by the city shows.
According to her resume, Lamberg worked briefly for the village of Lincolnwood as an accountant, and prior to that worked as an accountant and budget coordinator for Brown County, Wis., and in the private sector as an accountant for an insurance company in Green Bay, Wis.
Lamberg’s ties to the Green Bay area — which include a degree from the University of Wisconsin at Green Bay — prompted 1st Ward Ald. John Moran to inquire if Lamberg is a Packers fan.
“I enjoy and root for the Bears — as long as they are not playing the Packers,” Lamberg answered, drawing some laughter from the council.
